Native to Florida
Firebush is a frequent native of
Florida's central and southern coastal
hammocks. It blooms all year. This is the only species of Hamelia in Florida (Wunderlin,
1998). Firebush is found in FL, PR, and the Virgin Islands (Kartesz, 1999). These pictures were taken
in the Everglades.
