Native to Florida
Lyre-leaf sage is common in the hammocks nearly throughout Florida (Wunderlin, 1998). It blooms from spring through fall. There are ten sage species that are found in the state; two are non-native.
Nearly 100 species of sage are found in the U.S. Lyre-leaf sage occurs from PA to KS and all states south (Kartesz, 1999).
